CATHAY INDUSTRIES presents High Chroma Reds at ECS 2015
Ninove/Nuremberg 26 February 2015. High Chroma Reds form the focus of CATHAY INDUSTRIES’ booth at the European Coatings Show 2015 from 21 to 23 April in Nuremberg, hall 7, stand 7-319. As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of synthetic iron oxide pigments the company presents high quality products for the use in coatings systems. For industrial paints and varnishes, applied as a decorative or protective layer, High Chroma Reds offer a significantly broader colour spectrum. Beyond this, CATHAY shows its wide range of products of other pigment and non-pigment areas.
Manufacturers of coatings benefit from intense colour strength and elevated gloss of pigments with high chroma.
An extended scope of reds ensures a greater range of colours for manufacturers of coatings. These red colours created by iron oxide pigments are utilized in industrial paints, which can be applied on floors and walls of buildings for example – exterior or interior. Bright High Chroma Reds from CATHAY INDUSTRIES broaden the colour spectrum for this use and provide an elevated gloss as well as intense colour strength. CATHAYCOATTM Reds of the double A series can partially substitute certain organic pigments in some applications with shades from light red to medium red. Therefore, they can be a cost efficient choice.
Save time and energy
Made through the Penniman process, the High Chroma Reds are characterized by hydrophilic properties. As a result of this, the pigments are highly suitable for water based and VOC free systems. In addition, soft crystals simplify dispersing; low viscosity and low oil absorption facilitate the use in paint systems. Due to the pigment’s surface, the duration of the dispersing process with just High Speed Dispersers is reduced. In this way, manufacturers can increase their production capacities and save energy.
Service and support performances include a customer-specific product choice, pre-testing as well as technical and logistical advice.
To assure an ideal outcome of the colouring process, CATHAY offers extensive service and support activities for its customers. Pre-, in- and after-sales efforts include logistical and technical advice. Moreover, the company fabricates pigments through state-of-the-art technology and tailored to customers’ specific needs. Detailed working steps result in an environmentally friendly production. CATHAY invites visitors to discover the variety of pigments, service performances and application possibilities at the exhibition stand.

BRIGHTER THAN EVER: HIGH CHROMA RED PIGMENTS FROM CATHAY INDUSTRIES OFFER A BROADER COLOUR SPECTRUM
Ninove, 10 July 2014. High Chroma Reds from CATHAY INDUSTRIES allow users to broaden the colour space of iron oxide pigments. With its new pigments the company offers a product range, which increases chroma, making the colour brighter. Because of their hydrophilic properties, these iron oxides are easily dispersible in water based and VOC free systems. In addition, they are characterised by low oil absorption, low viscosity as well as elevated gloss.
A higher chroma enables a broader spectrum of red colours to be created by iron oxide pigments. A wide range of reds is essential for paints and varnishes, which fulfil a decorative and protective role when used on buildings and construction elements, regardless of exterior or interior application. Manufacturers of coatings need this extended scope of reds for industrial paints applied for example to floors and walls of buildings. For such applications the High Chroma Reds from CATHAY INDUSTRIES extend the possible colour spectrum for iron oxides, providing also higher gloss to the paints.
Easy to disperse
CATHAY INDUSTRIES' High Chroma Reds made through the Penniman process show high colour strength and are marked by their hydrophilic properties. In light of this, the pigments are highly suitable for water based and VOC free systems. Moreover, the use of the Penniman process results in soft crystals, simplifying dispersing. Users do not necessarily have to grind the material. By virtue of the pigment's surface, the duration of the dispersal process with just High Speed Dispersers is reduced; users can increase their production capacity and save energy. In addition, low oil absorption and low viscosity support the use of the product in paint systems.
Wider colour range with cost saving potential
Compared to other iron oxides with pastel-to-medium shades, the new series of High Chroma Reds from CATHAY INDUSTRIES ensures intense colour strength and gloss. The CATHAYCOATTM Reds RA11A, RA12A and RA13A – depending on the application – also show some overlap with certain organic pigments in shades from light red to medium red, hence providing a potential cost saving.
CATHAY INDUSTRIES offers new solutions assuring brightness and good processability. The company stands for reliability in quality with global standards.
DYED IN NO TIME - CATHAY INDUSTRIES DEVELOPED NEW GENERATION OF WATER-SOLUBLE BAGS
(Salzkotten 04/29/2014) In the preparation of fresh concrete, it depends on the correct color on. To this mix, a rapid, accurate and precise dosage of the pigments is required. For this has CATHAY INDUSTRIES , one of the world's leading manufacturers of synthetic iron oxide pigments, developed a new generation of water-soluble bags. The container is packed prefabricated and is added during the mixing process. When processing user does not come with the powder pigment in contact so that they are protected from particles. The total container dissolves residue on the processing.
While the concrete truck is on its way to the site, in his drum already the ready-to fresh concrete is mixed. For the coloring of this so-called mixed concrete and precast elements, the new water-soluble bags of suitable CATHAY INDUSTRIES . They contain pigments which mingle after the dissolution of the residue-free packaging with the cement mixture. Unlike liquid colors here to do an additional input of water and a complex mixture optimization is unnecessary. In addition, the bags for a clear warehouse logistics ensure: The transport of water contents and the storage of empty containers dispensed with. Thus, the soluble bags provide a cost effective alternative to liquid paints.
Flexible use of pigments
The weight of the bags right CATHAY INDUSTRIES individually to the mixed size from possible are containers of one to ten kilograms. The small package sizes make for easy handling. Another advantage of the water-soluble bags is flexibility on the job site, as no dosing and thus no air and electrical connections are required. The sealed container total is added to the mixture, so that no contact with the powder and produced a clean metering takes place. A high storage stability is ensured by the protective packaging. So the color is too short timescale if a project should move. Excess products also can be easily store over a longer period of time.
In a few steps to the appropriate color
Due to the constant color adding the mixtures on the use of the bags are easily reproducible, so that a uniform color result is produced. CATHAY INDUSTRIES picks for the filling of the container on its entire range of UV-resistant pigments of the brand FERROTINT ™ back. With water-soluble bags light materials such as concrete after a few steps, for example, in red or yellow.
